About Krakow

Krakow is a historical city which survived the last world war relatively unscathed compared to others parts of Europe, as a result it still has much of it's history intact. Travellers looking for the next big place in Europe are visiting Krakow with tourist number increasing rapidly each and every year. One of the oldest and largest cities of Poland with a 2006 population of around 760,000 and over 1.4 million counting adjacent communitites and situated on the Vistula river.

Krakow has traditionally been one of the leading cultural, artistic and scientific centres of the country and former home of Polish Kings.Considered by many to be the spiritual heart of Poland as a result of it's history of more than a thousand years.

The Polish people are warm and friendly and admire anyone who can speak a little Polish !
