By plane

Krakow's Balice Airport also know as John Paul ll international airport. Although quite small it is rapidly expanding. Located to the west of Krakow at only 11km from the city centre.

Travel by bus to the city centre for around 2.50zl one way. Tickets can be purchased inside the airport at the news stands are from the driver at a slightly higher charge and the journey takes around 30 minutes.

Traveling by train to the city centre, the station is around 5 minute walk or you can take the free shuttle which is available. The journey to the city centre by train takes around 15 minutes and the Krakow station is about 5 minute walk from the main square. Cost is approximately 4 zl

Traveling by taxi to the city centre, taxis are always available and cost up to around 70 zl for the 20 minute journey.

By Train to Krakow

Train journeys are relatively inexpensive and so are usually crowded, as a result you may find it better to upgrade to first class for long journeys. The train network is connected with many international destinations including Hamburg, Budapest, Kiev, Lviv, Prague, Vienna and Bucharest to name but a few.
